This is one of MY favourite parodies compared to the last one – Haru Haru. I love this much better.

This is done by members from 2am and 2pm. 2oneday. ^^ It is a parody of Brown Eyed Girls’ Abracadabra.

This is the original done by them.

I went to ION a few days ago with my dear cherlyn! Both Cherlyn and Ivy helped me celebrate a belated birthday at kbox, then ivy left because she had something on.

Lyn and I walked around ION, it was really large! The first place that caught our eyes was Rubi, cotton on’s wider range of shoes. I loved the simple design shoes, simplicity at its best! I bought this lovely red shoes that would match any clothes easily and it can be wore to school.

There were plenty of stores to shop around! UNIQLO, the famous japan chain-stores, there are plenty of offers ongoing, for shirts, skirts and jeans. Lyn managed to scour for this skirt that was affordable and very nice.

We were both stuck at fossil for quite awhile, as she was debating on whether she should get the earring that she fell in love at first sight. It was a rather simple yet vintage kind of earring, really special indeed. I loved it quite a lot too! It was a metallic flower shaped which is rather elegant from certain angles. And there was a leather strap to tie it to the hook of the earring.

Found the picture of it online, lovely right? ^^ Lyn also loved this book cover, which was vintage and really simple feeling. Apparently on our second visit, I also came across this lovely belt! I am going to get it soon! On their 25th anniversary, which is on the 10th Sept. I am SO waiting for that day. Because I can get a birthday present from them, I am born on the 25th of August, so I qualify. HAHA. Jealous right people?

Mag’s boyfriend is also born on the 25th, and the mean thing he said was “Like that I can collect from every store.”, when I pointed out that it was while stock lasts, he was like “I will be there at like 10am and who will go there at 10am right?” *laughs!* KEKE.

These few days I haven’t been hanging around online. Instead I have been roaming around the streets. Busy shopping! I must declare that I am already halfway broke. I don’t know if I can last through my holiday! SIGH.

Other that I have been reading books, but I haven’t touched anything that I wanted to do for my holidays. However I decided that I will not go online so often! I am kind of sick going online already, to tell the truth. I realise there is nothing to do online, except stalk people? KEKE. Joking. Maybe interact with people through emails, that’s the only thing I check nowadays.

Well, take care people while I disappear during my last holidays before my school (horror) comes. ^^

The Middle One! ^^ Smiles.

My older sister and I really liked Hwangbo, from WGM and clips of the “Danghyenaji!” game. She has been promoting her new song called “Arisong” in Europe.

Really hope that everyone will give her your love!! ^^

YUPS! This is her ComeBack stage!

The Middle One ^^ take care!

Instead of me on hiatus, currently everyone’s on hiatus. Ok, the sisters are currently superbly head deep into work. The oldest one have been so caught up with work that she just got sick, puking here and there.

And the middle one, complaining so much about project and her campaign. Those reading and are in Singapore Polytechnic, please do support her campaign from 28th July to 31st July at SP(:

I’ll just post 1 little photo of my pencilope. And if you’re interested, please do visit my blog (it’s in the link!). If you want me to make one for you, do drop a tag.

Photo 80

Much effort have been put into making my pencilope. As well as to customize it. The greatest thing is, the many different stamps I’ve got on my pencilope. Beat that! I’m sure none of you can get as many stamps on your pencil case.

For clearer pictures of pencilope, please tag me!

After my long disappearance, I’m sure you’ve missed me greatly. So here’s an update of what I love now.

MY PRETTY YELLOW NAILS!

I show you!!

Yellow nails(:

Yellow nails(:

Super pretty huh? I’m sure you’re jealous and want to get yellow nails too. But the feeling of being cheated while getting these nails painted yellow wasn’t that great at all. I swear I’ll never get cheated into expensive manicures anymore!

Orchard central is super bling bling now, empty bling bling I mean. They had fashion show today, I think. From the way I saw things set up there.. But.. It was opened to invitations only, how upsetting!

Finished watching 還珠格格, the last of my entertainment. And was wondering whether I should re-watch Boys over Flowers or just slack for the next 2 weeks. Cause starting on a serial means I would have to finish it before school starts.

How’s loving my life? (:

Signing off with yellow nails typing,
The Littlest One.

Stefanie Sun - "The Answer Is"
Stefanie Sun – “The Answer Is”

When I heard Stefanie Sun was finally holding a concert in Singapore again (after a 2 year hiatus from work in general), my dear friend Ying and I decided to grab tickets in case our favourite pixie-like Singaporean Chinese singer went off on yet another hiatus. (And you can never tell with people nowadays, what could possibly happen. Look at MJ!)

“The Answer Is” (答案是) was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 11th of July 2009, and was supposed to commence at 8 pm but probably started at about 8.30pm instead, thanks to all the latecomers milling in at around 8.15 pm. (This is why I strongly urge readers to always turn up early for your concerts so that it can start and end on time!)

The concert was done in classic Stefanie Sun style; its premise was very pensive, almost melancholic; sporadic thoughts and questions were flung at the audience in the form of projections against several white circular seashell-like screens.

As The Concert Started – The Stage

The minute Stefanie stepped on stage, the crowd went wild – the atmosphere was electric. Fortunately I’d managed to convince Ying to get there early so we were one of the first ones that managed to get in to our sections and we even had time to buy some drinks and to scout out the various Stefanie souvenirs that were on sale. We each bought a poster and I further convinced Ying to get us lightsticks – and boy, were we glad we had them! Stefanie kicked off the concert with this fancy golden warrior-like costume and a blonde wig, and the song she picked, 神奇 (Shen Qi – which directly translates into miraculous, an entirely apt title for it) was blood-pumping and got us waving our lightsticks frantically in tune with the heavy beats.

I especially loved the way the stage changed with the different lighting effects and washes / projections. My camera’s not good at far-range shots unfortunately, so I was unable to get a fantastic close-up of her gear, but for comparison’s sake, here’s a picture of that golden-warrior-armour costume that I took off another site, with credits attached to the picture:

She then proceeded to do a fancy change into this European-influenced Doll-like Costume, replete with a flouncy skirt and a hat that seems to perch(?) on her hair:

[edit: My post was truncated in the middle due to a feeling of being on the verge of a heart attack. My sisters swear it’s the haze getting to us, thus creating breathing problems. Must agree! I have never missed Australia so deeply as now…]

The costume changes didn’t end with that – she then donned this silver blue metallic-link costume, and continued to blow us away with favourites like “完美的一天” which I enthusiastically headbanged to, despite the fact that that song in particular never quite made it to my list of favourite Stefanie songs. The couple sitting in the aisle across from me ended up bursting loudly into song; I could tell they really wanted lightsticks but hadn’t had the foresight to get them before the concert, and probably didn’t manage to secure any when they walked in.

The best thing I like about Stefanie Sun is how humble she is, and how well she gets along with the audience. Her extremely down to earth attitude, the fact that she appreciates all the hard work and effort that people have put in to help her get where she’s going, and also how she doesn’t forget these people easily. That night, she thanked one of her music teachers, Mr Peter Chen, for believing in her, and for always pushing her to climb higher.

In the midst of the concert, she also took several water breaks, whereby a dancer would scurry onstage with a drink bottle and pass it to her trying to be surreptitious, but Stefanie usually breaks that illusion by actually speaking to her dancers and treating them like they exist (a rather nice thing, I think). She introduced them as being from Hong Kong, and even spoke in fluent (as far as I could tell) Cantonese to them, while cracking jokes about how unwilling they were to talk to the 10,000 Stefanie Sun fans in the indoor stadium (can’t blame them, I wouldn’t exactly want to open my mouth in those circumstances either). Best of all, she thanked them. It’s a small thing, true, but a gesture that I often think is highly underrated. Most celebrities seem to take for granted all the little privileges that are granted to them, and speaking from the experience of having done backstage work like this, it’s really moving when they appreciate all the effort you put in for them.

A special guest appearance in the mid of the concert took fans (somewhat) by storm – I think most people couldn’t quite decide whether they hated him or tolerated him only on Stefanie’s behalf. The guest star was Nathan Hartono, a 17 year old AC boy who spoke English with an accent that, unfortunately, raised my hackles. Cons: The poor English speaking boy sang an English jazz/blues song to a Chinese fan base (like, hello?). Also he sang one of my favourite Stefanie songs, “爱情证书” in a way that did the song no favours – it lacked the subtlety and nuances of Stefanie’s delicate emotions. Pros: The boy has a good voice that, if cultivated along with his emotional experience, I foresee will captivate audiences for years to come. He just has to sing to an English fanbase. I straddle the in-between so I enjoyed his performance (somewhat, until he sang the Chinese song whereby my disappointment came out in full force). He has a long way to go, but hey, we all need to start somewhere, right?

After the guest appearance, Stefanie shocked us all with her superb piano-playing skills (I say superb only because I do not play the instrument myself and so don’t quite know how much better it could get) while she descends in this bright orange costume, seated in this…twirly thing that defies description. Oh and her orange costume reminds me of coils.

The Orange Thing That Defies Description. Yes, far shot. I need a better camera.

Close Up (Not My Image) because I KNOW you are just as amazed as I am she managed to pull this off!

And then because the Queen just won’t quit being so awesome, she has to turn up in yet another splendid costume, and blow us all away. I also especially loved how she talks to the audience, even asking us, as she takes a breather, “Can I ask you to say ‘Sun Yan Zi, we love you?'” in Mandarin, which we roaringly obliged. Fans from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan presented her with gifts throughout the night, like cards, teddy bears, and even balloon twists! It got so much that Stefanie actually pleaded with us, “I’m running out of luggage space!”. Her birthday’s apparently this month (I’m a terrible fan, I don’t remember these things) so we also ended up singing her Happy Birthday. Trust me, with the whole stadium wishing her happy birthday, I don’t see how it could possibly NOT be.

Yet Another Costume Change!!

Despite the title of her concert, Stefanie ended with no definite answer to all the questions that she posed, yet choosing to continue on her way the way she believes her own answer lies (and considering her sucess so far, I say, go girl). Her precise pitching and clear control, her emotions that underscored each plaintive note, her endless energy and the way we made her do an encore – twice – was priceless. The expression on her face when we wouldn’t let up and kept on yelling her name was outrageously funny. She had this Er, excuse me, are you going to let me go home tonight people??? look on her face after she finished her first encore and when she had to come out again for a second round! The best (or worst depending on whether you’re Stefanie) thing was she did 2 songs for her encore and still we didn’t let her off. And still, her soulful rendition of “天黑黑” at the end almost brought me to tears.

At the end of her 2nd encore, when she disappeared from sight.

Can I just say, again, how very much I love this petite girl and her not-so-petite vocals and the way her songs just melt your heart? I leave you with two of her promotional pictures for the tour to contemplate…

Was randomly browsing for Hwayobi’s videos on youtube when I stumbled across some very old videos of Hwayobi on X-man, a Korean variety show which apparently used to be really popular (I also read that the show’s undergone some new format changes so I’m not too sure what happened there) but in any case the video I watched of Hwayobi playing “Danghyenaji!” (translated as “Of course!” figuratively; heard from a Korean friend it used to be literally translated into “Carrot!” and not quite sure how carrot = of course but there you go, Koreans!) was uproariously funny and I just have to share it!!

From all the videos I watched of “Danghyenaji!” I deduced that the game’s participants are split into two teams (red and blue) and each team sends out one contestant from each side. Because the name of the game is “Danghyenaji!” (Of course), no matter what each side’s opponent says, the only way to reply is, “Of course!”…which leads to several hilarious remarks being made on both ends whilst they try to subtly insult each other!

[edit: Also, after reviewing several of the videos, I also realised that as long as one party makes a comment that the other party is seriously unable to answer, it becomes a KNOCKDOWN. I think the best people at this game are the ones with extreme eccentricities. Let me find a Hyun Joong video to see how he fares…]

Hwayobi’s fantastic at the game, because she has the most unusual responses ever. I love the comment she makes about porn videos / DVDs below:

And for variety:

And for those who like Yoon Eun Hye (lead actress of popular Kdrama Coffee Prince):

AND, who says it’s not good to know your enemy? Jun Jin just managed PWNED ALL (including his good buddy and his co-member of ShinHwa) :

Oh I cannot stop!! (The Danghyenaji videos keep rolling after the Junjin one, which is hilarious!!) Signing off while I ROFLMAO watching them vids, The Big One P.S. Yes, sorry, I know I’m really outdated with the Korean stuff but man, these things are hilarious! Especially the Idol Army Episode between Shinee + 2 PM (Minho + Nickhun!) and their version of Danghyenaji!

Yes, the Music Video that everyone has been waiting for! Wonder Girls Nobody MV!

This MV is similar to the Korean version, it was edited and dubbed over from the original. Well, here is the original MV for viewers to compare.

XOXO Middle One.

I’d thought news of MJ’s death would (eventually) fade away, but the poor guy has to be beleaguered by continued postmortem fame alas. And not just any old fame, but fame of a scandalous nature.

Recent rumours are floating online, mostly thanks to this particular blog posting that writes about Evan Chandler confessing that his accusations against MJ were completely fabricated.

Of course, several flamatory comments are now running the mill, throwing out things like, why did Evan Chandler only choose to come out with the truth now, blah blah, and his father and him are only trying to earn more money off MJ’s reputation now etc etc.

To be honest I can’t find any good supporting articles to support this particular blog posting, and I’m rather surprised at how fast news has travelled without substantiative literature to support the source. For all anyone knows, someone could have just casually mentioned it online and boom! ….Such are how rumours are spread.

Anyway thought it was interesting, and personally I’ve always thought everyone should let bygones be bygones, but oh well, who am I to say?

This is the only video that shows the whole truth to the whole uproar….. I clarified the bottom entry as well.

Poor Onew! I hope he wakes up soon. His leg was already injured!! It so so heartbreaking to see the manager carry Onew.

XOXO Middle One.
